I've met a few Sacred Circle dancers, have seen their web sites and read a few
articles about them. I don't quite understand why they like to make up stories
about the dances.

I frequently encounter people who are very surprised to find out that
Israeli dances do not come from the bible. A few times people have said
I'm
ruining it for them when I reveal that these dances were created by modern
choreographers over the past 50-60 years or so.
Have you ever spoken to the folks who do sacred circle dance? They have a
story or history for every folk dance even if the dance was created very
recently and the choreographer has even been very public about what inspired
him/her to create the particular dance.
