I have created two MP3.com sites - Klezska and
Shirona.  I would say that for promotional purposes
and exposure it is a big plus.  I get over 600 visits
each month and over 1500 downloads or listens.

They have a small payback for playback system if you
subscribe to their "Premium Service" agreement for
$19.99 per month but the payback I get at the above
visits outpaces the fee by about $40.00 per month.
