One of the things I found interesting about this thread is that all of the 
posters were primarily interested in dealing with a specific problem that a 
member of this list experienced. There was no shouting, at least by my 
standards, and a good deal of helpful suggestions. This list can do more than 
discuss modes, or theories, be they Jewish Law or Music related. We can be a 
positive force to make sure that as musicians and artists, we are taken 
seriously by society. And I think that is nothing over which to resign.
