Re: partisan tangos, again



There is a tango called "Yidish Tango" on Aufwind´s 1996 CD "Avek di yunge
yorn" ("Awek di junge jorn"); they listed the composition as "trad.", the
lyricist as "anonymous". It´s probably not a "real" partisan tango, but it
gets near:

Shpil zhe mir a tango, nor nit arish,
zol dos zayn nit arish, nit barbarish,
az di sonim zoln zen, az ikh nokh tantsn ken
un take a tentsele mit bren!

Shpil zhe mir a tango oys fun sholem,
zol dos zayn a sholem nit kayn kholem,
az Hitler mit zayn raykh oy di kapore glaykh...
Oy vet dos zayn a tentsele far aykh!
...
