I don't have a large collection, and klezmer is represented more than nay
other kind. I only have one rare recording. My nephew, Steve Margoshes, a
composer and arranger of music for Broadway (Aida is his latest) wrote a
pop-based Shabbat service for his synagogue when he was a student. The
synagogue recorded the service and sold copies, hopefully making a good
profit. I wish I could recommend it, but it isn't up to the quality of his
latest.
His most Jewish off-Braodway arrangements were for a musical called "Theda
Bara and the Western Rabbi." See it if you get a chance - it is quite
amusing.
