ISLE OF KLEZBOS, the fun-loving, soulful all-female powerhouse klezmer
sextet, performs Sunday, April 2 at Tonic's klezmer brunch. Shows at 1:30pm
& 3pm, $10/one set or $15/both. Tonic, at 107 Norfolk St on NYC's Lower East
Side, used to be the Kedem Kosher Winery: excellent vibe, atmosphere & menu!

DEBORAH KARPEL/vocals [1:30 set only!!], DEBRA KREISBERG/clarinet+alto sax,
CATHERINE POPPER/bass & EVE SICULAR/drums. Formidable musicians match their
imaginations with fabulous feeling for vintage Yiddish tunes and inspired
originals! Stellar band member backgrounds include playing with everyone
from Bonnie Raitt and the Indigo Girls to Metropolitan Klezmer, Rajah Rock,
Burning Spear, D'Tripp, Tigresa, the Out Band, Noite Brasiliera, The
