Re: Jewish Music?: Druckman

Sachs was a German Jew who fled to Sweden, and it was there that she did
most of her best-known writing. She shared the Nobel with S.Y. Agnon (we
wouldn't want to give it to Jews too many times, now would we?). She is
an excellent poet, also a playwright, and a close friend of Paul Celan
-- their correspondence was published a couple of years ago.
