Re: question, "af lebn..."

It sounds like a song on the LP Yiddish Sons of Work and Struggle released in
the 70's by the Jewish Students' Bund in NY. It is quite a moving song. I am
including the Yiddish lyrics followed by English translation.
                                                Paula Teitelbaum

Brider, mir hobn geshlosn
words: Chaim Aleksandrov

Brider, mir hobn geshlosn,
oyf lebn un toyt a farband;
mir shteyen in kamf vi genosn,
di fonen di royte in hant.

Un bistu gefaln a toyter,
di oyg, di libe farmakht,
dan vikl ikh dikh ayn in der fon der foyter
un faln tsuzamen in shlakht.

TRANSLATION

Brothers, we have forged,
A pact of life and death.
We stand in struggle as comrades,
Red flags in hand.

And should you fall dead,
Your dear eyes closed,
I'll wrap you in the red flag,
And fall with you in the battle.
