Those of you who happen to be in the northern Midwest on Feb. 6 are invited
to celebrate the third anniversary of the first ever performance of Yid
Vicious, south-central Wisconsin's premier klezmer septet. In addition to
our usual repertoire of pretty traditional--though slightly
electrified--instrumental klezmer, we will be joined for a handful of
Yiddish songs by Anna Vogel-Purnell, the fabulous vocalist of the widely
acclaimed Balkan lounge band Reptile Palace Orchestra. The show takes place
at Mother Fool's Coffeehouse, 1101 Williamson St., Madison, WI at 8 p.m.
