How could you speak of belching and Shoshana Damari in the same breath. Shame
on you Simon :) She was such a sensation throughout my whole childhood in
Israel and later in America. She was a most serious artist in every thing she
did and was always, always terrific. I used to go to her concerts when I was
an adolescent. What a thrill that was. We walked around singing her songs
all day long. She _was_ Israeli music for at least two decades. It's still
wonderful to listen to her recordings today.
