Just came upon this...

I don't know this song.   But I am still trying to figure out how Moyshe's 
stealing peas renders your translation "Jews, the music you are stealing is 
only worth chickpeas; create your own beautiful music!"  I am not questioning
the validity of your point of view, just trying to figure what in the song is 
giving you this message.

Can you tell us the actual words to the song?

Ganvet Arbes"  Translation: "Moses steals chickpeas"  Translation: "Jews, the
