FREE Klezmer Concert at Lincoln Center, Wed. July 12 at 7 pm

"NEW YORK ALL-STAR KLEZMER EXTRAVAGANZA", JULY 12th AT LINCOLN CENTER'S
DAMROSCH PARK

On Wednesday July 12th, five of the worlds most accaimed music ensembles
will appear together in the first "New York All-Star Klezmer
Extravaganza".  The event will celebrate Yiddish Heritage Week as
proclaimed by Governor George Pataki.

The concert, sponsored by the WORKMAN'S CIRCLE/ARBITER RING, features
bands, Brave Old World, Kapelye, The Klezmatics, Klezmer Conservatory
Band, and The Lipovsky/Mlotek/Warschauer Trio.  There will be a special
"surprise" guest.  The concert will be filmed by PBS for inclusion in its
Great Performances Series Documentary on Eatern European Music.
