I would be very interested in hearing any reactions to the film,
"The Last Klezmer" that premiered 8/12 in New York. The NY Times
review of this documentary film made it sound like a "must see"
for anyone interested in classical klezmer. The subject of the
film is Leopold Kozlowski of Krakow, nephew of Naftule Brandwein.
Yale Strom of the Hot Pstromi (Zmiros) band directed the film and
arranged (wrote?) the music along with Mr. Kozlowski....I would be
interested in learning more about the film and if it is going to be
shown anywhere else outside of NY, or on PBS or for sale on video.
