REC.MUSIC.INFO [Monthly `pointer']

This message is intended to make new readers of the newsgroups in the
rec.music/alt.music hierarchy aware of the existence of the moderated
newsgroup rec.music.info.

In rec.music.info you will find many valuable sources of information, such
as periodically posted articles listing and describing most available
music-related Internet resources (newsgroups, ftp-sites, mailing lists
etc.) but also discographies, concert dates, musical FAQ's, chart listings,
info about new releases, and much more.

If you subscribe to any of the regular music newsgroups, it will probably
be a good idea to subscribe to rec.music.info as well ("subscribe" as in:
read the newsgroup. Rec.music.info is not a mailing list, sorry).

I urgently ask you to note that rec.music.info is NOT meant for *requests*
for information, however. Please read the introductory article entitled
"Welcome to rec.music.info!" for more information.
