I certainly think that the words "study war no more" come from the
Bible, but I am skeptical, based on the other verses of "Down by the
Riverside", that "the song and tune come from...".  What evidence
can you present?

The rest of the Hebrew (I mean the Bible section, not the song) talks
about "swords into plowshares and spears into pruning hooks", not "lay
                                  ~~~~~~
down my sword and shield", and the imagery of other verses of "Down by
                  ~~~~~~
the Riverside" sounds very Christian to me.
