[HANASHIR:2119] afterthought

In the same vein as my previous message, I also take exception to the "shehu
noten shamayim, ..." melody that is commonly sung in some Conservative
congregations. It is a French childrens' song taught to all 4 year-olds in
maternelle. My problem with using these types of tunes is that the music
doesn't fit the prayer, even if one succeeds in matching the rythm of the
words to the music. It becomes just a cute device to get through the words,
and that's a put-down of both the words and the music.
