Hey, what ever happened to READING Music?? I really don't understand how we
can have all this wonderful music at our fingertips and have so few musicians
to use them. Sorry but this is really a sore point with me, we have
wonderful jewish music leaders that can't read music. I find it very
frustrating as a musician to try to get or learn new music when everyone just
seems to be learning it by singing around the campfire. How does anyone
accompany you, or how do you teach it to a choir? I apologize if I have
offended anyone but I would love to see jewish music written out the way it is
performed. Not just a melody line with chords (which by the way is rarely the
way the composer performs it!)
Again, I apologize for the ranting,
Felicia
