Traffic (was: To reiterate)

Out of the 300 or so messages in my Inbox this week, I'd say
over 200, perhaps as many as 250, were from the hanashir
list -- averaging about 50 a day. In some ways, that's
great; I love that we're active and interested.

But frankly, it's also really hard to keep up. I don't
know how some of you folk do it, and I don't know
what to do. I do know that at the moment most of my
hanashir mail isn't getting read because I simply
*can't* keep up with the traffic.

I don't want to tell other people how to run the list or
make them accommodate me, but I'm nearing the point where
I have to sign off the list to preserve sanity and
hard disk space. Maybe Adrian's "relevance" comments
will help, although I've read so few messages lately
I didn't even see many of the "irrelevant" ones.

I know there's a "digest" option, but sifting through one
long post seems as overwhelming as sifting through
50 to 60 short ones every day.

What to do? Am I the only one? Thoughts?

Joel
