No. I always worry about how I am "peforming". I think this is because I was
a "performer" long before I led/cantored services. When I have to sing in a
choir or cantor for High Holiday services I might as well be a Lutheran. I
find it very difficult to connect to the prayers.

I will forward your note to my daughter who at 15 is an accomplished singer
and performer. She, however, has "grown up" singing/performing at services
and may feel differently. I would be glad if you would share your findings
with the rest of the group.
