I wrote a song called "Our Stories." Lyrics below. I haven't recorded it
yet, but will be happy to share a rough copy of it if you're interested.

Our Stories
by Lisa Baydush C 2002
The Bible is full of stories,
but if they're stories are they real?
And does it matter if they're only stories;
the moral is the message we hold dear.
The Bible tells about Moses, about Pharaoh, so long ago,
Well we have Pharaohs, we fight for freedom - the story gives strength to
our souls.
The Bible tells about David, and Goliath, so long ago,
Well we have Israel and her Goliaths - the story resonates in our souls.
The Bible tells about Sarah, about Rachel, so long ago,
Well we have mothers, our unsung heroes - the stories bring light to our
souls.
We tell the tales to our children to remember so long ago
They give meaning and a purpose and insight into our Jewish souls.
Baruch ata adonai elohenu melech ha'olam
Shehechianu, v'kiamanu, v'higianu lazman hazeh.

I'd add the suggestion of an "oldie but goodie" Bible People Songs (1981) by
Jeff Klepper with Rabbi Jeff Salkin available (cassette and songboook) from
ARE Publishing.
