Hi Deborah,
There is a Shalom Aleichem in the service. Do you have that
covered? The Sol Zim version is fast and fun to do. Ellen Allard's
There Are Ten is a fun 10 commandments song or you can do Debbie
Friedman's 613 commandments, which is also fun. Yismechu Hashamayim or
L'Cha Dodi from Friday Night Live also make good opening songs. For
closing I like to have everyone in the congregation put their arms
around one another and sing good old Hiney Mah Tov. I tell them they do
need to sway in the same direction. It closes the service with bumps,
chuckles and smiles. Good luck,
Marsha
