I keep reading about all of these ideas regarding songsheets for the kids. Way back in 197???? when I was in school, our music director used an overhead projector. It worked great but we had music in a dark room. If I did that now, I would fall asleep. Also, the overhead projector hums (and not in the key we sing in). Also, if you don't have a big white wall behind you, you then have to set up a screen and well.... I don't know about anybody else, but I sometimes have to move around for my classes. In regard to the poster board. I think it's a great idea for short songs. But, what happens when you have longer songs? How do you fit it all on one or two boards? Also, where do you store all of the poster boards afterwards? I have enough trouble storing stuff on my computer. I don't have enough free space for one more thing. And now for the transliteration, translation and hebrew on the page. I think all of it should be there. If I'm teaching 2nd, 3rd graders or parents who never took Hebrew, you need the transliteration. I think with both, then they have the opportunity (should they desire) to look at whatever makes them more comfortable. I also like the translation because for most of us (who aren't fluent in Hebrew) we don't know what we're singing about. I like to know. Just my opinion.
