Friends, someone posted details of Rami Kleinstien's NYC appearances
this coming week, and my computer was in FAST mode and I deleted the
posting without meaning to. Whoever posted that, could you please
resend? Of course just send to me if you'd like at:

Thanks so much.

Hi Meris -
Here is the page of all of Rami Kleinstein CD's on israel-music.com
http://www.israel-music.com/?artist=286
They are an privately and independently owned Israeli company who
originally were recommended to me by two readers (one from Australia,
one from the United States) for their fast service and outstanding
selection.
I just saw Rami Kleinstein in Tel Aviv in one of his "Rami and the
Piano" concerts. He is fantastic. The best of modern Israel, with a
great sense of humour, incredible musicality and a piano playing style
matched only by Billy Joel.
I just saw a later posting of Steve Meltzer's that Rami will be coming
to Boston. Lucky Bostonians!
Cheers

Hi Y'all - Does anyone know where I can purchase a CD of Rami
Kleinstein? Israel Exchange doesn't carry his stuff! (But I got a
gorgeous Shlomo Artzi record!) Thanks!

Adrian,
at our 2nd grade chagigat hatanach, we do songs about Yehoshua, Shimshon
and David. For Yehoshua, we have a song "tipli bishvili" that one of
our teachers wrote to the melody of the song "kisses for me" and we do
"joshua fought the battle at jericho" - our only English song. For
Shimson we do "haperach b'gani" which is really just an Israeli/Yemenite
love song (in this case between Samson and Delilah) and "ish hayah
b'yisrael - shimshon sh'mo". For David we do "v'David Y'feh Einayim"
and Carlebach's "David Melech Yisrael". For intro we sing "asher
bachar" (bin'vi-im tovim...) which I wrote the melody for and for
conclusion we sing "etz chaim hi" - the one with the shalom shalom and
clapping - but only the hebrew part. Feel free to call me for any of
the melodies if you're interested and if you have any additional songs
about those three men specifically, or any other general songs about
Nevi-im, I would love to have them as well!
thanks,
Raquel Gershon
