I will check this translation and the source. How interesting that this has
been raised and I thank you for it.

We have been using these song sheets at home and in performance for years
here in Melbourne in many public occasions, and no one has ever queried the
wording.

As I think I may have mentioned, I'm pretty sure they are from Theodore
Bikel's singable translation in the booklet of his wonderful recording,
Classic Jewish Holiday and Shabbat Songs

But I will go back and check.

Regarding your comment that a music publisher should check Jewish sources -
of course, in theory, you are absolutely correct. 

To clarify: We are not music publishers. We are an Online network of culture
and information sites that are interactive based on the requests of our
readers. Hebrew Songs.com is completely non-profit - on the contrary, it is
a labour of love by myself and wonderful contributors from around the world.

We have the warmest endorsements - published and unpublished - from Israeli
songwriters and musicians. Ehud Manor, who has written over a thousand songs
including Chai and Bashanah Haba'ah, paraphrased a line from his famous song
"Ein Li Eretz Acheret - I have no other country" to write an amazing
dedication on our front page. As did David D'Or, who is representing Israel
in next year's Eurovision. I just spent time in Israel meeting with Ehud
again and the reaction to the Hebrew Songs website has been overwhelming in
Israel. 

People from all over the world send us songwords - or requests for song
words - and we do the research to source the composers and performers, and
find the links from an independent, privately owned music website in Israel.
This enables people who only know the name of a song to find the CD it is on
and learn about the artist.

We now have over 700 songs linked on Hebrew Songs.com  
Many have gaps and errors, and if I won the lottery I would hire a team and
do nothing else. Such is my love for Hebrew music, as shared by our readers.
This site alone logs over 600,000 hits a month worldwide so it's a wonderful
thing to share.

We also have people sending us corrections all the time, which we love.

So I will do my best to check this translation, and I thank you again for
raising the potential error.

    The correct translation is  the arm availing us and has nothing to do
with armor.  You would think that a music publisher would check Jewish
