[HANASHIR:16048] RE: Desperately seeking Maoz Tzur

I went to the hebrewsongs.com site (in Australia!) because I thought my
non-reading choir would look down less with just the words in front of them
instead of the words and music (generally a good trick which I occasionally
use with unison or 2-part music). I noticed something interesting: in the
English, they have "but thine armour veiled us". We sing "but your (or
thine) arm availed us", which I've never understood. Hmm... kind of like
"Round John virgin", no?

Anybody have the definitive translation? Just curious.
