I stand corrected. The web-based list archives are open to the public.
E-mail retrievable archives are not. Unless anyone strenuously objects, I
will leave this as it is. The alternative requires eliminating the web-based
archives and having only e-mail-request accessible archives which can be
restricted.

The archives are searchable, so if you're looking for something that you saw
on the list, it remains available.
