[HANASHIR:14866] "Pop Bands Whose Beat Is Orthodox and Hip"

Hi -

There is also Reva L'sheva (I represent them for US bookings). Several of you
may have seen them when they were in the US in February. They are based in
Israel and tour the US a couple times a year. The lead, Yehudah Katz was a
student of Reb Shlomo Carlebach and toured with him as well. For more info on
this "rock" band who is known for playing Carlebach in addition to its own
music, with influences of the Grateful Dead, visit http://www.revalsheva.com.
For ordering their "One Love" CD, please visit Tara Publications @
http://www.jewishmusic.com. For bookings (and we are setting up a US tour for
January at the moment), please email me leahhaifa (at) usa(dot)net(dot) Thank
you!

Rock On!

Linda

Another band (Yeshiva graduates) -- with obvious modern rock-n-roll
influences: Blue Fringe. (Some of their music, mediocre sound quality as
they were recorded live, is at their web site: http://bluefringeband.com/)

I saw them at a concert, accidentally, as a warm-up band to The Chevras
(another O band) -- outstanding hit: "Yehei Shelama Rabba" -- but I am
unaware of a web site for them.
