Hi, everyone! Well, when I said I was due any time, I didn't realize that
it would be quite so soon after Hava Nashira. After an exciting (okay, a
bit draining) four days of trying to induce labor to prevent some distress,
Maya Shlomit Halpern was born on Tuesday, June 17 by C-section. She is
healthy and beautiful and we love her tons. I'll try sending pictures as
soon as I can, but right now I'm just trying to stay awake long enough to
feed her (again), so I'm not sending personal messages to any of you. I'm
doing really well and I'm so glad I made it to HN this year. Thanks for all
of your love and support and I hope you'll get to meet her.
Love,
Wendy
P.S. I brought all of my new CDs into labor with me and had plenty of time
to listen to them. Great job everyone with your music. I am welcoming any
songs that you'd like to write about Maya Shlomit, named after my husband's
father, Mordecai Shlomo (his English/Hebrew name), and two special
relatives, Paul and Zayde Sam.
