Very cute idea! On the same note of making rhythm instruments for a
fish or sea theme, I have made fish shakers with preschoolers. We
started with soda or water bottles 8-12 oz. and filled them with beans.
For young aged children it is better to already put the bean in the
bottle before giving it to them. We then used bright colored tissue
paper and wrapped it around the bottle starting at the base and tied a
rubber band around the extra tissue paper forming a tail. The children
can then put stickers on for eyes and mouth and other decorations.
Then sing some fun songs and shake away!!
