[HANASHIR:14584] RE: sheet music online--TEN PLAGUES IN EGYPT LAND

Ellen - That's a great song -- Kinda reminds me a little of "15 Miles on
the Erie Canal" and I'm tempted to syncopate it! Really catchy! Hope
to see you at caje!

Subject: [HANASHIR:14574] sheet music online--TEN PLAGUES IN EGYPT LAND

Peter and Ellen Allard have very generously allowed me to post the sheet
music for their HN03 hit tune "Ten Plagues in Egypt Land." You can find
it on hotshabbat.com; the direct link is

Somehow I don't think I can wait until Pesach to teach this one! Camp
songleaders, consider trying it out this summer, because it's the
funnest
Pesach song I've heard since "Pharoah Pharoah." Ellen and Peter, you are
wonderful a) to write such great music and b) to share it with all of
us.
On behalf of all of us, many thanks!!!

On another topic entirely...

In my musical treasure hunting I ran across the most unusual
Jewish-themed
song I've heard in ages. It's entitled "[Don't Fall in Love with a]
Mexican Rabbi," from an album by David Kleiner and Liz Pagan entitled
"Salesman," published in 2001. You can hear a clip on cdbaby.com at:

  http://audio.cdbaby.com/rama/kleinerpagan-05.ram

and the rest of the lyrics are posted here:

  http://www.davidkleiner.com/lyrics_mexicanrabbi.htm

With lyrics like "She'll break your heart in two, like a matzo
tortilla,"
this one is definitely in a class by itself...!
