[HANASHIR:13978] RE: David Burger

Has anyone tried a piece by Burger for a teen chorus - I think it's
called something like, "Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem?" I know
Transcon has it in SATB but is there a piano/lead sheet version?
Unison? Anyone know? I heard it at the North American Jewish Choral
Festival one year and it's really nice. Thanks.

There seems to be a small typo in the Hebrew - it's
"Hasheim Tseva'ot yaGein aleihem" and not *yaNein.

It contains the abbreviation of "Vegomeir" which
indeed means "Etcetera." This is regular Hebrew.

In fact it is quite common in rabbinical literature to
quote only the beginning words of a biblical verse.

A gut woch to all.
