[HANASHIR:13628] The CD is coming! and questions abound

Hi all --

I am releasing my CD, City Of Love, in early March. By March 7 (praying
really hard here so if it's a couple of days late please don't freak out),
copies should be available through www.CDBaby.com and you can buy them
securely online.

Meanwhile, questions abound. I am new at this and here's what's up.
Folks are asking about music sheets. They want to play my music at shul.
I think that's really great!
Two issues:
(a) I don't have the software or know-how to turn my longhand manuscripts
into publisher-ready hard-copies; and
(b) I have NO idea what to charge for them in any case. I have concerns that
my music is easy enough to pick up by ear that if I ask for any payment at
all, even a few bucks to cover copying and postage, folks will be turned off
and just "lift" their own charts instead off the CD (hey, it's how many of us
learned our first Debbie Friedman tunes, admit it).
So if you've been here already in your music experience, how did you handle
it and what would you do differently now?
Disclaimer: I did this on the scrawniest shoestring budget imaginable. I am
amazed that I have a finished CD at all. So please try to offer ideas that
don't require taking out a bank loan. Thanks in advance.

The web site will be updated as soon as the CDs are ready, but meanwhile you
can go check it out at www.beth-hamon.com
