[HANASHIR:13249] CD Release!!!!!

Shalom all you fellow Hava Nashara-ites,

This is Craig Parks and I was at all the Hava Nashira's from 96-01 and it was
all the participants and staff that helped me learn and grow in immeasurable
ways. I am the Director of Youth Programming at Temple Solel and put
together a special monthly Shabbat service for teens. I put a band together
of teenagers using music I learned over the years at Hava Nashira. The
service is called the Teen Shabbat Jam and we call the band Kavannah. We
have now put out a self-produced CD called Teen Shabbat Jam. This service
regularly draws on average 35-50 kids from Temple Solel every month. On the
CD the band includes bass, 3 acoustic guitars, piano, violin, & 4 vocalists.
The congregation has bought all of the first pressings but I just had more
made and decided to offer it to the community that has in many ways inspired
it. Besides me, the rest of the musicians on this recording are all high
school students and the art on the CD was done by the teens as well.

The CD includes much of the music we do for the Friday night service including

Romemu - Craig Taubman
Shalom Aleichem - Abish Brodt
L'cha Dodi - Abie Rotenberg
Barechu - Cantor Rachelle Nelson
Sh'ma - Tzvika Pik
Mi Chamocha/Miriam's Song - Debbie Friedman
Adonai S'fatai Tiftach - Craig Taubman
V'Shamru - Craig Parks
Shalom Rav - Jeff Klepper & Dan Freelander
Bayom Hahu - Klepper
Od Yavo - Sheva

The CD is $13 including S&H and all the money will go towards the youth
programs here at Temple Solel.

Shalom,
Craig Parks
