[HANASHIR:13237] RE: converting MD to CD

Adrian:

Thank you for your suggestion. Is the sound quality just like the MD?
Where do you get the SoundBlaster Extigy?

Happy New Year

Lynda:

I have been to do this successfully using an external piece of hardware
from Creative Labs called the SoundBlaster Extigy. It is, in effect, an
external version of Creative's Soundblaster Audigy Pro.

The Extigy connects to your computer through a USB port. Great thing
about it that when it's not connected your system uses its regular sound
hardware. Software that comes with the Extigy makes it seamless to
simply copy from the Minidisk to a CD or the Hard Drive or another piece
of audio equipment (or vice versa.)

I happen to use the Extigy with a laptop, but it will work easily with
any system.

The Extigy also has digital I/O, midi, and a full range of other audio
connections. It's about the most useful piece of sound hardware I've
ever come across.

Subject: [HANASHIR:13226] converting MD to CD

I am still not able to find convert the digital MD Sony player thru to
the computer and burn a CD. HELP!

Someone suggested Cakewalk but that did not happen. When I run my MD
player thru the computer

With CD burning software it can not find the portable player. I run it
thru the USP port but it can't find it.

Has anyone successfully transferred the mini disc format to a regular CD
with good quality? I have tried to

Use the microphone jack and save it that way but without converting the
files it sound terrible.

I have tried to call and email Sony but they are terribly slow and
getting back to me.

Thank you all for your help in advance!!
