[HANASHIR:13015] Re: Fw:Jewish Education, Jewish continuity...

I read Jen's e-mail and thought that it was so sad that at her school it is
considered "uncool" to be involved in Hillel. I wanted
people to know, however, that this is not the case at all colleges and
universities. I am a third year student at the University
of Michigan and all different kinds of students choose to get involved with
Hillel and the Jewish Resource Center. No body I know
considers it to be uncool. In fact, me and most of my Jewish friends are very
involved in Hillel, whether it be through attending
services, being on the governing board, the Jewish Greek Council, or a part of
Volunteers In Action. I feel fortunate that I attend
a school where students feel comfortable making Judaism a part of their lives.

Now to connect this e-mail to Jewish music... I am in an a capella group
through Hillel called Kol Hakavod. I was wondering if
anyone had suggestions on where I could find some good modern arrangements of
Hebrew songs that we could sing a capella. Please let
me know if you have any information, thanks!!
