I don't have a chumash in front of me at the moment.
However, if there appears a vertical line after the
word that has the munach, the munach in question is a
so-called "long munach". Such a munach is rendered with
a slightly longer motive than an ordinary munach.

A vertical line is usually just a clue to the reader to
clearly separate the words that appear to the left and
the right of the line. It appears for example if the
first word ends with the same letter, with which the
second word begins, or if the two words should not be
read in one breath for semantical reasons.

If you are interested in such matters, you should
consult a grammar of classical Hebrew.
