The Spiro book also notes the distinction in the Kedusha for Shabbat 
Mincha.  That reluctant letting go of Shabbat noted in L'dor Va Dor 
section of the Kedusha speaks of a longing for the Shabbat nearly ended 
and is the final breath of that nusach woven into the begining of the 
Mincha service for Shabbat.
