The "Muslim peace songs" thread has been a good one, with persuasive and
passionate writing from all.

One little thing, though:  Arabs are Semites too.

Another thing:  The discussion of the meanings of the words "shalom" and
"salaam" indicated that there is a difference.  Be careful with this,
because "peace" is an inadequate translation of "shalom".

And thanks, Steve, for the observation about "9/11 music".  Drippy,
jingoistic, bland - take your pick.  Of course, if you listen to country
stations, you could have heard "Where Were You When the World Stopped
Turning" (not bad) and "Osama Yo Mama" (funny exactly once).
