Judah--

Having written songs about peace in our liturgy, I can honestly say that at 
no time did I have "politics" in mind for any of the musical settings. If 
they have an ability to move people in worship, then they are valuable. 

As far as any other uses/applications, that is a "bonus" if you will. 

Our ability to create "political" songs has not been very good lately. Most 
of the 9/11 music is very bland, don't you think?
