[HANASHIR:9595] Apples and Honey (and old dances)



Linda Barton asked about:
  the blessing for apples and honey.
    
  Since apples grow on trees, it's "...boreh p'ri ha-eitz"  (who creates the 
fruit of the tree)
      (full text is:  Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha-olam, Boreh p'ri 
ha-eitz)   
      The tune is the same as for "...hamotzi lechem min ha-aretz"; just change 
the last 3 or 4 words.

  As to your second inquiry about the circle dance, there is more than one 
possibility, but it sounds like you're describing the dance to the Israeli 
song, "Yesh lanu tayish".
