[HANASHIR:9157] Looking for a Job around Chicago

I am looking for a way to support myself doing the things that nourish my
Jewish soul. (I hope it is ok to post this here, since most of what
nourishes my Jewish soul involves music in one way or another.)

All ideas and potential opportunities are welcome. You can e-mail me
privately at jaugshir (at) aol(dot)com (my HaNashir e-mail address) or
jaugolden (at) aol(dot)com (my regular e-mail address). Also, feel free to
forward
the attached to whomever you think might be interested. Please let me know
if I should follow up.

Thanks all.

P.S. The rest of this e-mail is a paste in of my "resume" for those who
can't accept Word attachments. The attachment is the same information with a
better format.

I am a deeply caring Jewish women who is looking for full or part time work

gifts I have to offer include the following:

· Warm mezzo soprano voice
· Commitment to bringing meaning to the things I do
· Excellent facilitation skills gained during a 15 year career as an
Information Systems Consultant
· Comfort with the Reform Jewish liturgy and melodies
· Good communication skills - both written and verbal
· Desire for continued learning and an ever deepening understanding of Torah,
prayer, mitzvot, Hebrew language, Jewish life, and relationship with God
· Creativity and enthusiasm

My activities and accomplishments using these talents in my synagogue and the
Jewish community include the following:

· Singing in the choir at Congregation Solel, for 15 years. I primarily sing
in the alto section, with occasional solos.
· Singing as an alto in Kol Zimrah, The Jewish Community Singers of Greater
Chicago, under the direction of Cantor Richard Cohn, since its inception 5
years ago. I also sing in the Kol Zimrah Chamber Ensemble.
· Chairing the Music Committee at Congregation Solel for 4 years.
Accomplishments include assisting with production of a "Solel Sings" tape and
booklet, planning a chamber concert series, and assisting with difficult
professional staff transitions.
· Planning and leading special creative Friday evening services such as
Service in Song, Musical Personal Expressions, and Celebration of Rosh
Chodesh Adar.
· Serving on and co-chairing the Cantor Search Committee of Congregation
Solel.
· Serving on the Board of Directors of Congregation Solel for 3 years.
· Initiating and leading the planning of a women's Rosh Chodesh celebration

· Planning Congregation Solel's first Women's Seder, including leading the
committee to compile the Haggadah, plan the event, and then leading the music.
· Occasionally chanting Torah and Haftarah for special events, including
chanting the Haftarah for Yom Kippur alternating between Hebrew and English.
· Writing articles for the Pathfinder, Congregation Solel's monthly
newsletter.
· Writing a "Rosh Chodesh Reflection" psalm for every month of the Hebrew
calendar.
· Tutoring children who need additional help and practice in preparing for
their B'nai Mitzvah.
· Participating in an Adult B'nai Mitzvah class at Congregation Solel,
culminating in a ceremony in June 1999.
