[HANASHIR:8252] RE: A Woman's Place (Kol Isha)

While, as ListOwner, I felt it worthwhile to allow this thread to continue,
it now lies dangerously close to leaving behind any connection whatsoever
with the original discussion - on the subject of "Kol Isha," and I would
have to suggest that a discussion on the broader issues of the role of men
and women in Judaism is not wholly germane to this list and should be
carried on in another forum. I think that the issue of "Kol Isha" remains
germane to this list, and I encourage continued discussion on this topic.
But let's not let the discussion go too far astray from the realm of Judaism
and music.

This topic really hit a nerve... and I suspect that when there is SO much
"energy" surrounding a topic - it means that it's an "Idea Who's Time Has
Come". Without a doubt - there is a deeper underlying problem that needs to
be examined here.
The way I see it - * * * Total Equality between Men and Women * * *
Jewishly, every way, everywhere. [snip]
