[HANASHIR:7254] Re: Thanksgiving songs

There is a version of "Shehecheyanu" that is great for young children -- it
might be in Manginot ( I actually have not had time yet to look through my
book). I don't know who wrote it or where you can get the music....but I am
sure someone on the list can help. Or I would be happy to sing it to you over
the phone. Let me know.

The lyrics go like this: Chorus: We say shehecheyanu, thank you G-d, for
every kind of happiness and joy,
                                                 We say shehecheyanu, thank you
G-d, for giving life to every girl and boy.

For the times when I try something new,
like learning how to swim or tie my shoe
At the start of every holiday, there is
a very special blessing that we say.

                                                -Repeat chorus-

There is another verse, but I am suddenly drawing a blank. Then the
chorus is repeats.

Good luck!

  Subject: [HANASHIR:7250] Thanksgiving songs

I teach preschool music at synagogue preschools. I am looking for songs I
can use during Thanksgiving that have a Jewish emphasis. I'm familiar with the
ones in the Manginot.
  Thanks...Debbie Block
