[HANASHIR:7252] Re: Thanksgiving songs



When I think of Thanksgiving, the closest Jewish parallel that I come up
with is Succot.  I think that this probably has to do with my congregation
decorating our bimah with pumpkins, gourds and other plant life when I was
younger, but I don't know.

As for Succot, we just listed many songs a few weeks ago, but here are
some: from Hashkiveinu: Haporeis Sukat Shalom or Ufros Aleinu, L'vrachah,
etc.  As for prayers that thank in general, how about a verson of
Modim.  Or the song Todah.  Dreamer: "What did we do when we needed
*corn*?"  Just some thoughts --
