Meris, with equal respect, your Israeli songbook has changed the word
from the original (perhaps updated it to a more "modern" Hebrew). The
source is Talmud
Bavli, Shavuot 39a, last few words of the central text. I just looked it
up to make sure. You'll also see it that way on the UAHC's 1999 Statement
of Principles. Seems "Zeh l'Zeh" and "Zeh La Zeh" are common variations
in American parlance,
whether used knowingly or unknowingly; I'm not hot enough with my Hebrew
grammar rules to know if and
how this makes any change in meaning. Anyone?
