I often use Tom Chapin's song "This Pretty Planet" for a lullabye. It can
be sung in a 3 part round and is beautiful. It is on his Family Tree
recording, I think.
This pretty planet, spinning through space
You're a garden, you're a harbor, you're a holy place.
Golden sun going down, gentle blue giant spin us around
All through the night, safe till the morning light.
Also, I have a Shema Lullabye that I was inspired to write after my Hava
Nashira experience this past summer. It will be on my next album due out
this summer and it has received rave reviews everywhere we have performed it
this year. Here are the words:
Shema Yisrael Adonai Eloheynu, Adonai Echad (2x)
May God bless you and keep you
May God watch over you.
May God always be inside of your heart
May peace be always with you.
If anyone is interested, e-mail me privately and I can get an audio or
notated music copy to you.
