I remember originally the badeken was to Napoleon's March (or sometimes
Ovinu Malkeinu Eyn Lonu Melech Elo Otoh, a slow 3/4 tune) and the
processional to the Chuppah was to the Alter Rebbe's Nign. In later years
indeed there was a tendency for the Alter Rebbe's Nign to serve both
functions.
Speaking of Lubavitcher weddings, the dancers/singers at the receptions
were notorious for ignoring the keys and/or the tune changes of the band.
It felt like they were in a parallel universe.
