For those who are interested, I just heard an example of what I was talking 
about (on the Netscape Klezmer radio station).

It is Doina and Hora (Hebrew dance) from "Various Artists 
Klezmer: Early Yiddish Instrumental Music 1908-1927".

Here is a link that has a 30 second sample of that track (and all of the tracks 
on the album for that matter).
