My copy is in a bilingual edition that I I believe I picked up years ago at 
the Workmen's Circle in NYC:

Peretz, Yitskhok Leybush. Selected Stories, translated by Eli Katz. 
Bilingual Edition. Zhitlowsky Foundation for Jewish Culture, New York, 1991.

Here the story is called "The metamorphoses of a melody".
