RE: Klezmer Jam,

We have read so much about Klezmer Jams, and have indeed started doing them
in London as we now have a great number of 'graduates' of KlezFest and
Klezmer classes at SOAS with Merlin Shepherd and with Ilana Cravitz and
Sophie Solomon who love to get together and play.

I wonder if those of you who have lead Klezmer Jams or who have attended
them would like to share with us their ideal recipe for a Jam

For instance what would you want in a leader, how do you deal with beginners
and those who already know several tunes, what time of day, day of the week
is your favourite what should the environment be, what do you like to have
on hand - a bar, a bagel etc.  what is the key to location? Near work, near
home? How much would you pay to come? And any other questions I have not
thought of?

Also while we are thinking about this what is the best formula in your
experience for a Klezmer Brunch?
